It was so much fun seeing all the girls come together and having so much fun while making new friends. We could not have done it without the support of our amazing volunteers. Updates to the Girls First Program Platform

Good news for Guiders getting ready for year-end administration on the platform. We’ve made three recent improvements to the girl/youth profile page to make tracking activities and awarding badges easier:

  • Activity History feature: Improved layout plus a new filter, sort and print functions to make it easier to reference and share.
  • Badges and Awards feature: Improved layout, so more information is visible on a page, added in new filters and sort features for easier printing and sharing.
  • Badge and Award progress feature: (coming this month) – changing functionality to allow Guider to manually change the number of activities completed in a theme instead of having to log the same activity multiple times.

Guiding in the Community Photo Contest

This year, Guiding looks a little different and we want to highlight Guiders who are coming up with safe, creative ways to present the Girls First program. We want to inspire other Guiders and show the community how are we are adapting in these unprecedented times with a photo contest!

Guiding is looking different this year, and Lougheed Area Girl Guides is stepping up to the challenge! We want to celebrate the Guiders who are encouraging new and fun ways to run Girls First programming and share in the sisterhood of Guiding with their units.

Over the next four months (September to December 2020), Lougheed Area PR is launching its Guiding in the Community Photo Contest, so we can:
