“I have been a part of the Girl Guides of Canada for thirteen years now. I joined in 2009 as a Spark with my childhood best friend. Through thick and thin Girl Guides has always been something we can rely on to have fun. We have been in the same unit for all thirteen years and are the only girls for our Sparks unit still in Guiding. We have always encouraged each other to be the best person we can be, together we won our Lady Baden Powell award, our Canada Cord, our Bronze and Silver Trailblazer, the Community Service award and we recently received our Commitment pins. As of now we are finishing our Gold Trailblazer together. The experiences I have had with her and other girls in the community have given me memories that will last a lifetime.”
